However, Phos is relegated to compiling an encyclopedia due to their delicate constitution, a fate that sparks their resentment. It isn't until they encounter Cinnabar, a brilliant Gem forced to patrol a remote island at night due to the corrosive properties of their own body, that Phos finds inspiration. Moved by Cinnabar's despair, Phos sets out to find a role that would allow both rejected Gems to flourish.
