The canine's owner, 16-year-old Ryuusuke Minami, is a charismatic guitarist with a troubled past as a former member of a prominent rock band. Their paths cross again at a diner, where Ray's electrifying performance on the guitar captivates Yukio. As they bond over their shared passion for music, Yukio becomes enthralled by the world of Western rock and decides to learn how to play the guitar alongside Ray. With Ray's younger sister Maho and a few other talented individuals, they form the band BECK, embarking on a journey to conquer the Japanese music scene. As they face setbacks and triumphs, the group's music becomes a reflection of their struggles and triumphs.
