In the harsh environment of Shounan Special Reform School, Japan, 1955, six troubled teenagers, each carrying a dark past, are forced to share a cell. Among them is Mario Minakami, who finds solace in the company of Rokurouta Sakuragi, a former boxer and seasoned inmate. As Rokurouta takes the group under his wing, they begin to see a glimmer of hope amidst the bleak surroundings. The delinquents form a tight-knit bond, united in their determination to survive the brutal conditions and sadistic treatment at the hands of the corrupt guard, Ishihara, and the morally bankrupt doctor, Gisuke Sasaki. But as they navigate the treacherous landscape, they must confront the question: what kind of lives await them on the outside, and will they be able to escape the shadows of their troubled pasts?
