In a world where ghouls and humans coexist, the Commission of Counter Ghoul's relentless pursuit of the supernatural has created a climate of fear and hostility. The terrorist organization Aogiri Tree, sensing their own existence is under threat, has begun to take drastic measures to counter the CCG's growing influence. Meanwhile, a new team of operatives has been assembled to take on the ghoul problem. Known as the Quinx Squad, these individuals have undergone groundbreaking surgery to tap into the unique abilities of their foes. Led by Haise Sasaki, a half-human, half-ghoul hybrid with a mysterious past, the team is trained by the enigmatic Kishou Arima, a legendary investigator. But as Sasaki navigates his new role, he begins to experience fragmented memories that hint at a life before his current existence, threatening to upend his fragile sense of identity.
